Rainbow Bridge video for your pet

Updated 2026-10-27

The Rainbow Bridge is the meadow where, as the much-loved poem tells it, our pets wait for us — healthy, warm and playing in the sun. Rainbow Paw turns one photo of your pet into a 10-second Rainbow Bridge scene with soft music: they turn, look back at you once, and trot on toward the light.

What the Rainbow Bridge scene looks like

Your pet appears in a sunlit wildflower meadow at golden hour, with a small wooden bridge and a gentle rainbow behind them. The camera pushes in slowly while petals drift past. They look healthy and calm, never sad or unwell — the way you want to remember them.

The video keeps their breed, coat colour, markings and eyes from your photo, and adds quiet piano and birdsong. There are no people and no text, so you can add their name or a line from the poem when you share it.

How to make a Rainbow Bridge video in three steps

1. Upload one clear photo where their face is visible. 2. Choose the Rainbow Bridge scene and look at the free still preview. 3. Turn it into a moving video — standard 720p or HD 1080p — and download the MP4.

Most videos are ready in about two to three minutes. If anything fails, the credit returns automatically.

Ways families use it

Many people share the video on the day they say goodbye, play it on a loop at a small memorial, or send it to the family group chat on a pet’s birthday. Veterinary clinics and pet crematories sometimes recommend a tribute like this as a gentle keepsake.

If you are grieving right now: there is no right way to do this. Some people make a tribute the same day; others wait months. Both are okay.

Tips for the best result

Choose a photo taken in daylight, with the eyes in focus. Full-body photos give the most natural walking motion; close-up portraits give the most faithful face. Avoid photos with people or other animals in them — one pet per tribute works best.

Questions

Is the preview free?

Yes. After you upload a photo and pick a scene we paint a still preview of your pet in that scene as your first preview. You only pay if you want the moving video with music.

How long is the video and what format?

Each tribute is a 10-second MP4 with gentle generated music. Standard is 720p, HD is 1080p. It plays on phones, TVs and in social apps, and you can loop it for a memorial service.

Will it really look like my pet?

We keep the breed, coat colours, markings and eye colour from your photo. A clear, front-facing photo in good light gives the closest likeness. Small details such as a wiry coat can come out slightly smoother.

Can I use an old or blurry photo?

Yes, but results are better with sharper photos. Scanned prints work. If the face is very small, crop the photo around your pet before uploading.

Do you keep my photos?

Your photo is used only to make your preview and video. Generated files are kept for up to 7 days so you can download them, then deleted. We never use your photos for training or marketing.

Can I add people to the video?

No. Rainbow Paw is for animals only, to keep every tribute respectful and safe. Photos showing people are declined automatically.

What if the video does not look right?

If a video fails we return the credit automatically. If it completes but does not feel right, email us within 14 days and we will re-make it or refund that credit.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once, credits never expire, and there are no renewals.
